An original 1973 US Motown pressing, RCA Hollywood plant, exceptional vinyl — this is The Temptations’ first decade captured at its absolute best.

The Temptations – Anthology: 10th Anniversary Special

Original 1973 US Motown three-record anthology, catalogue M 782A3, collecting major recordings from The Temptations’ first decade. This is the original-year RCA Hollywood pressing, identified by the 03B matrix and separate stamped H in the runout.

Highlights include: The Way You Do the Things You Do, My Girl, Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, Get Ready, I Wish It Would Rain, Cloud Nine, Psychedelic Shack, Ball of Confusion, Just My Imagination, Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.

Records use the original auto-coupled sequence for automatic record changers: Record 1 (Sides 1 & 6), Record 2 (Sides 2 & 5), Record 3 (Sides 3 & 4). This arrangement is original and deliberate.

Condition

All three records carefully cleaned and fully play-tested. Vinyl is exceptionally clean and glossy, visually EX to NM- with very few signs of handling. All six sides play smoothly with no notable crackle, pops, skips or distortion.

The fold-out sleeve remains clean, complete and structurally sound with strong colour and a well-preserved illustrated interior. There is a prominent broad bend/crease across the front panel — cosmetic only, does not affect the records. The original 10th Anniversary booklet and inner sleeves are included in excellent condition.
